Colorism

Colorism is a growing problem in the African American community even here at a Historically Black College we still face some of these challenges. Essentially colorism is the discrimination of those with a dark or lighter skin tone. I know we have all her, "She's pretty for a dark skin girl," or "He's cute for light skin boy." These are prejudice statements against our own people. We're concerned with what other races think/say about us but we are causing our own inner house problems. Mister SC State, Joshua Tribble has organized a forum to bring awareness to this problem.
